One-Time Password for Cavion® uses Symantec™ Validation and ID Protection Service (VIP), a cloud-based, two-factor authentication (2FA) service, to protect financial institutions and users from unauthorized account access – above and beyond a simple username and password – with an additional factor of authentication. One-Time Password allows Cavion Business Banking and Cavion Internet Banking users to authenticate an account holder’s identity in real time using a one-time password that is provided by a security hardware, software, or mobile generated credential. One-Time Password augments the login process and also optionally serves as another stop in authenticating the initiator of certain types of transactions.
