Laguna Hills, Calif., Oct. 16, 2012 – Harland Financial Solutions (Lake Mary, Fla.), a supplier of software and services to thousands of financial institutions of all sizes, has fully integrated QuestSoft's automated compliance solution, Compliance EAGLE, into its E3® Loan Origination Software (LOS) to automate end-to-end mortgage and investor compliance reviews during the loan origination process.
The integration with Compliance EAGLE will enable Harland Financial Solutions’ E3 users to automatically collect loan data, check hundreds of compliance data elements and run reports throughout the entire life cycle of the loan. The engine in Compliance EAGLE is the same one used by the largest lenders and investors in the country. QuestSoft provides a full spectrum of compliance tests and reports on all national, state and local laws, as well as supporting investor compliance guidelines. The software is fully integrated with E3, which reduces errors and improves accuracy by eliminating the need for additional data entry while providing a quicker, more efficient process of ensuring total compliance.
“Compliance is the number one issue facing lenders today,” said Mitch Lucas, vice president of product management and legal compliance at Harland Financial Solutions. “Working with QuestSoft provides our clients with the most comprehensive, robust tools available to ensure that every loan meets both federal and state standards while satisfying investor guidelines for more profitable pricing, and at the same time, eliminating buybacks.”
Compliance EAGLE evaluates loan files against a comprehensive suite of compliance regulations and standards, including the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act (HMDA), NMLS licensing, LEF reviews, RESPA fee tolerances, various exclusionary lists and flood determination requirements, in addition to the Truth in Lending Act (TILA), and federal, state and local consumer and predatory high cost lending laws. Additionally, Compliance EAGLE’s reviews are widely accepted by most secondary market investors.
E3 is an end-to-end LOS that provides lenders automation of the entire mortgage workflow, from origination to delivery. The software enables lenders to take control of loan operations by building in safeguards to protect against user errors and by providing audit reports on user activity, compliance tools and business rules.
“Dodd-Frank will result in more than 400 new rules and regulations by the time the final act is implemented,” said Leonard Ryan, president of QuestSoft. “Integrating Compliance EAGLE into E3 ensures that lenders are up to date with all of the latest regulatory changes while building automated rules into the compliance workflow. The seamless web based integration with E3 Connect allows for instant compliance updates with nothing to install. The powerful combination of E3 and Compliance EAGLE assures lenders have the most accurate, up-to-date compliance checks available in the industry.”
